Paralegal – Credit Hire (Belfast)

A well-established law firm in Belfast is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its dynamic litigation team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with a strong background in credit hire to take the next step in their legal career.

The Role:

You will support solicitors in handling a busy caseload of credit hire claims, dealing with both claimant and defendant matters. This role requires a confident individual capable of managing files from instruction through to settlement, with a focus on delivering results and providing excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage your own caseload of credit hire files under supervision.

• Draft pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.

• Liaise with clients, insurers, counsel, and third parties.

• Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries.

• Attend court hearings and conferences when required.

• Ensure compliance with relevant court deadlines and procedures.

About You:

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience working in credit hire or motor claims litigation.

• Strong understanding of credit hire law and litigation processes.

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Confident communicator with good drafting ability.

• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

• A legal qualification (law degree or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
