Operations Director

A senior operational leadership opportunity within a growing, multi-site organisation entering an important phase of expansion and transformation.

This is a key appointment with responsibility for end-to-end operational performance, driving efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement across a complex, multi-functional environment. The role reports to the CEO and sits on the senior leadership team, playing a central part in shaping strategy, performance, and future growth.

The position covers full operational oversight across multiple sites and functions, including operations, production, planning, quality, maintenance, health & safety, and continuous improvement. It requires a leader who can balance strategic input with strong day-to-day operational execution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading multi-site operational performance and delivery
  • Driving efficiency, productivity, and margin improvement
  • Owning operational KPIs, budgets, and forecasting
  • Leading capital investment and improvement initiatives
  • Embedding a high-performance, accountable culture
  • Ensuring strong health, safety, and compliance standards
  • Developing and strengthening senior operational leadership capability
  • Supporting continued business growth and scaling activity

The role would suit a senior operational leader with experience in complex, multi-site environments, with a strong track record of delivering operational performance, leading teams through change, and improving efficiency and output.

Candidates are likely to have held roles such as Operations Director, General Manager, or senior operational leadership positions within industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
