A well-established organisation that plays a key role in supporting a thriving city centre is seeking a talented Marketing and Events Manager to join its team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and driven professional who can bring energy, ideas and strategic thinking to a wide range of marketing, communications and event-led projects.

About the Role

In this position you will lead on developing and delivering a comprehensive marketing and events plan that promotes the city centre, supports local businesses and enhances the visitor experience. You will manage multi-channel communications, oversee a varied annual events calendar and work closely with partner organisations, agencies and stakeholders.

You will take ownership of:

  • Designing and delivering marketing, communications and events strategies

  • Managing paid and organic campaigns across digital and traditional channels

  • Overseeing a busy calendar of events including seasonal activations and experiences

  • Creating engaging content for web, social and printed materials

  • Monitoring performance, producing reports and demonstrating clear return on investment

  • Managing budgets effectively

  • Working with PR professionals, event partners and creative agencies

  • Ensuring brand consistency across all materials and communications

  • Building strong relationships with local stakeholders and business communities

Experience required:

  • 3 years’ + marketing experience with exposure to events management

  • Proven success delivering campaigns from concept through to measurement

  • Confidence managing budgets

  • Strong experience with social media management and content creation

  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and stay calm under pressure

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills

  • Creative mindset, a positive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
