Artemis Human Capital is delighted to be recruiting for an In-House Legal Counsel role with a global market leader renowned for driving innovation and excellence within their industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of cutting-edge developments, where you will play a key role in shaping legal strategy, managing risk, and ensuring compliance. The role will involve drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and providing strategic legal advice on high-impact business decisions.

The In-House Legal Counsel will be responsible for:

• Providing strategic legal advice to senior management on key business decisions.
• Identifying and managing legal risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and coordinating with external counsel.
• Provide legal advice to management and employees on contracts, compliance, intellectual property (IP), employment law, and other legal matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, agreements, and key legal documents.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to identify and manage intellectual property assets.
• Handle legal disputes and litigation, working with external counsel as required.
• Ensure compliance with UK and international laws and regulations.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, developing proactive strategies.
• Work cross-functionally with Finance, IT, HR, Commercial, R&D, and Operations to integrate legal considerations into decision-making.
• Establish and manage relationships with international counsel for overseas legal support.
• Oversee the legal budget and manage external legal costs.
• Manage marketing consultancy agreements and global trademark portfolios.
• Support Product & Marketing teams in exploring brand and trademark opportunities for new products and services.
