A leading commercial law firm in Belfast is seeking to appoint a Healthcare Solicitor (3-5 years’ PQE) to join its well-established and highly regarded healthcare team.

The Role

The successful candidate will join a specialist healthcare practice advising healthcare professionals, insurers and organisations on a broad range of contentious matters. The role will involve:

• Managing a caseload of clinical negligence and professional indemnity claims

• Advising on regulatory and disciplinary proceedings, including fitness-to-practise matters

• Representing healthcare professionals in investigations and hearings

• Drafting pleadings, correspondence and detailed legal submissions

• Liaising with clients, counsel, medical experts and other stakeholders

• Providing commercially focused, strategic advice in complex and sensitive matters

The team handles high-quality, often high-value work and offers genuine responsibility from the outset.

The Candidate

Applications are invited from solicitors who meet the following criteria:

• 3-5 years’ PQE (qualified in Northern Ireland or another UK/Ireland jurisdiction)

• Strong experience in healthcare law, clinical negligence, defence litigation or regulatory matters

• Excellent technical ability and drafting skills

• Confident communicator with strong client management skills

• Ability to manage files independently while contributing positively within a team

• Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
