Financial Controller – Flexible Working

A well-established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take full ownership of its finance function. This is a senior leadership position that will work closely with the Managing Director while overseeing a small team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the detail while also driving improvements, shaping processes, and influencing strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead finance function ensuring strong governance controls

• Deliver accurate month-end reporting and financial analysis

• Own budgeting forecasting and cash flow planning

• Maintain balance sheet integrity including inventory oversight

• Partner leadership providing actionable financial business insights

• Enhance KPI reporting across profitability and operations

• Strengthen costing variance analysis and cost visibility

• Drive process improvements systems and finance transformation

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role

• Background in manufacturing or engineering environments preferred

• Strong technical grounding in financial reporting and controls

• Experience within a group reporting structure is advantageous
