Financial Controller (exclusive)
Artemis Human Capital is currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a rapidly expanding food manufacturer operating across the UK and Ireland. The company has recently hit a major revenue milestone and continues to grow rapidly through acquisitions, strong organic performance, and new cutting edge facilities. With major transformation underway, this role offers the chance to join at a pivotal moment and play a key part in the next phase of expansion.
Working closely with the Finance Director, you’ll take full ownership of group wide accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and bring the commercial insight needed to support ambitious expansion plans. You’ll play a key role in integrating new sites, strengthening controls, and driving data-led decision making.
The Role:
- Manage timely and accurate financial reporting across UK and Irish entities.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic growth.
- Oversee all accounting operations across multiple fast-moving manufacturing sites.
- Drive robust internal controls and ensure full compliance with statutory requirements in both jurisdictions.
- Own the full audit process and manage relationships with external auditors.
- Analyse trends and translate financial data into actionable commercial insights.
- Support integration of new acquisitions and champion operational efficiency and technology improvements.
- Oversee cash flow management and lead financial risk assessments.
- Mentor and develop a growing, multi-site finance team.
The Person:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller (or similar senior role) in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in manufacturing, food production, or FMCG
- Strong UK & Irish compliance knowledge
- ERP/financial systems expertise
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to influence stakeholders at every level
