Financial Controller
Artemis Human Capital are delighted to be partnering with a successful and growing organisation to recruit a Financial Controller to join their established Finance Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the finance function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will provide strategic financial insight, drive continuous improvement, and support key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function, overseeing month-end, year-end processes, financial reporting, P&L, cash flow and variance analysis.
- Provide commercial financial insight to support strategic decision-making, budgeting and business planning.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax and regulatory requirements, including VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax and Intrastat reporting.
- Oversee product costing, pricing reviews and financial analysis to improve business performance.
- Manage payroll, insurance requirements, government reporting and relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements, supporting the ongoing development of systems and operational efficiency.
Essential Criteria
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical accounting skills with excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and deliver accurate financial information.
- Proven ability to identify business improvement opportunities and implement change.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive, professional approach and high levels of integrity.
