Financial Controller
A rapidly growing business, operating as part of a larger group, is seeking a commercially astute Financial Controller to take ownership of the day-to-day financial management of the business. This role is ideal for someone with strong FP&A experience who enjoys using data, analysis, and insight to influence decision-making and drive performance.
Joining the Senior Management Team, the Financial Controller will drive the finance function forward and work closely with senior leaders to shape commercial decisions. This is a hands-on role that blends financial control with commercial analysis, forecasting, and strategic support. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing processes, elevating financial insight, and supporting the continued growth and development of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial operations including month-end, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Produce clear, accurate management information and commercial insights to support strategic decision-making
- Partner closely with senior leaders, providing analysis and recommendations
- Enhance financial systems, dashboards, and reporting tools, leveraging platforms such as Power BI
- Lead process improvement, automation, and control enhancements across the finance function
- Manage statutory compliance, audit coordination, and financial governance requirements
- Support integration and alignment with the wider group, ensuring consistency in reporting and financial processes
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong background in FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering
- Proven ability to translate financial data into meaningful insight for non-financial stakeholders
- Highly analytical with experience with data tools and dashboards
- Hands-on approach with a drive for improving systems, processes, and the quality of reporting
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic discussions
