Financial Controller

A well-established and respected construction/ manufacturing firm with operations across the UK and Ireland are looking to add a new Financial Controller.

Reporting into the Finance Director and working closely with other business units, this role will combine commercial and reporting elements, allowing you influence strategy and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts across all entities and divisions

• Delivery of weekly/monthly reports

• Driving costing and margin improvement initiatives

• Partnering with Operations and Sales on commercial decision-making

• Oversight of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Managing working capital, including debtor control and inventory valuation

• Overseeing month-end and year-end processes, liaising with auditors

About You

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
• 5+ years’ experience in a senior finance role
• Strong commercial acumen with a hands-on approach
• Proven leadership skills with a passion for developing people and processes
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across functions
