Financial Controller
Artemis Human Capital has partnered with a dynamic and growing business with multiple offices, to appoint a talented Financial Controller to join their team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is pivotal in overseeing and managing the accounting function of the Belfast office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a small team of accounts staff
- Prepare quarterly management accounts and year-end accounts
- Lead the implementation of a new ERP system to enhance their accounting processes
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Manage VAT, PAYE, and CIS returns for both the UK and Republic of Ireland
- Oversee Intrastat and Customs returns
- Develop and manage annual budgets to support strategic planning
- Conduct cash forecasting and manage banking facility
- Optimise working capital management to support business growth
- Â Work closely with the MD
Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Ability to manage and lead a small team
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software
- Proficiency in managing VAT, PAYE, CIS, Intrastat, and Customs returns
- Strong analytical skills with experience in budget preparation and cash forecasting
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with senior management
