Finance Assistant
We have partnered with a growing international business who is seeking a Finance Assistant to join its busy finance team. This is a newly created role and an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting worldwide operations
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller and working closely with senior management, you’ll take ownership of key finance processes that ensure the smooth running of the company’s day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, values accuracy, and thrives in a collaborative, supportive team.

Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll, pensions, and employee expenses across multiple international entities
- Support month-end accounts, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and deferred income
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Oversee credit control, debtor reconciliations, and payment collections
- Manage company credit cards and maintain the fixed asset register
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and assist with the annual audit
- Provide administrative and financial support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Skills & Experience Required

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounts role

Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, or similar)

Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines

Strong communication skills and ability to manage internal and external relationships
