Residential Conveyancing Solicitor – Belfast (3+ PQE)
Location: Belfast city centre
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ PQE
An established and growing property law team based in Belfast is looking to welcome a motivated Residential Conveyancing Solicitor. This role offers the chance to take ownership of a busy and varied caseload, working with a wide range of clients while contributing to the continued success of a respected and growing law firm.
You will have the autonomy to manage files independently, with the support of an experienced leadership team, and the opportunity to play a key part in developing junior talent within the department.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new-build developments, and Right to Buy / Co-Ownership transactions.
- Handle the full end-to-end conveyancing process: liaising with clients, agents, lenders and other stakeholders; reviewing title deeds and searches; preparing documentation; guiding files to completion.
- Ensure excellent client service with timely updates, clear advice, and efficient file progression.
- Contribute to the development of more junior members of the conveyancing team (trainees / paralegals) and assist in promoting best practice, strong processes and service standards.
- Work collaboratively with the Director/Associate heading the Residential Property/Conveyancing department to deliver commercial-minded solutions and support the firm’s reputation for property work.
About you
- Qualified solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE in residential property / conveyancing work.
- Proven experience across a broad variety of residential transactions (sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers) and comfort with handling files with minimal supervision.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload and maintain momentum on transactions.
- Excellent communication and client-service skills, able to build rapport with clients, agents, lenders and other legal teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A willingness to contribute to team development and mentor less-experienced colleagues.
