The Role
A well-established, growing service-based organisation is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support expansion across its commercial and industrial client portfolio.
This is a field-focused role suited to a self-directed sales professional who enjoys developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and win new commercial and industrial clients
- Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations within assigned territories
- Manage and grow existing client accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Monitor market conditions and competitor activity
- Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare regular sales performance reports
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing service delivery
- Represent the organisation at relevant industry and networking events
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in sales or business development
- Experience within a service-led, logistics, infrastructure, or operational environment is advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Self-motivated, organised, and results-oriented
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Willingness to travel as required
- Achievement of agreed sales and growth targets
- Expansion and retention of the client portfolio
