The Role

A well-established, growing service-based organisation is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support expansion across its commercial and industrial client portfolio.

This is a field-focused role suited to a self-directed sales professional who enjoys developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and win new commercial and industrial clients
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and presentations within assigned territories
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Monitor market conditions and competitor activity
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare regular sales performance reports
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing service delivery
  • Represent the organisation at relevant industry and networking events

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales or business development
  • Experience within a service-led, logistics, infrastructure, or operational environment is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Self-motivated, organised, and results-oriented
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Achievement of agreed sales and growth targets
  • Expansion and retention of the client portfolio
