Accountant – Immediate Start Needed
We’re currently working with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit an experienced Accountant to join their finance team on a 3 month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who enjoys contract finance work and is available on short notice.
What’s on Offer?
- £50,000 – £60,000 salary (pro-rata & depending on experience)
- Hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 from home)

The Role
Reporting into senior management, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and accurate running of the day-to-day finance function, while also providing valuable financial insight to support business decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Managing month-end and year-end processes
- Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management
- Preparing and analysing financial data to identify trends and opportunities
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting statutory accounts and year-end audit processes
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to provide financial advice and insight
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
About You
You’ll ideally have:
- A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or be qualified by experience
- Strong experience within a broad accounting role
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Good knowledge of financial reporting and month-end processes
- Strong Excel and accounting systems experience
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive, commercially aware approach
