Our client, a leading food manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function at one of its production facilities in Kildare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the site maintenance team to support production and operational targets.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, contractors and engineering resources.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and monitor maintenance KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and food safety standards.
  • Support site projects, equipment upgrades and capital investment initiatives.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance documentation.
  • Develop, coach and support the maintenance team.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance management role within food manufacturing or a similar production environment.
  • Engineering qualification or recognised mechanical/electrical trade background.
  • Previous experience managing maintenance or engineering teams.
  • Experience delivering projects within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and budget management experience.
  • Strong IT and reporting capabilities.
