Financial Controller

A well-established and growing business is seeking to appoint a Financial Controller to join its senior finance team. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to drive business performance, ensure robust financial governance, and support long-term strategic growth.

As Financial Controller, you will play a central role within both the finance function and wider leadership team. You will lead and develop a small team, partner with senior stakeholders across the business, and contribute to shaping financial strategy and decision-making. This position offers genuine influence in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

This is an office based position, Mon-Fri.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the finance team, promoting a collaborative and high-performing culture
• Oversee the full month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Deliver clear financial insights to support strategic decisions and business growth
• Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, tracking performance against targets
• Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to influence performance
• Drive continuous improvement across financial processes and systems

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Solid technical expertise in financial reporting, controls, and compliance
• Excellent analytical skills
• Confident communicator and capable of influencing stakeholders
