Newly Qualified Accountant – Audit Background

You’ll join a central finance team with real visibility across the business, gaining hands-on exposure to partnership accounting, partner remuneration, and the financial drivers behind a complex, international organisation.

We’re partnering with a leading professional services firm to hire a Newly Qualified Accountant into their global accounting function. The team plays a key role in managing partner-related finance matters, including profit distributions, capital, and tax.

This position is ideal for someone looking to step away from audit cycles and timesheets into a more operational, value-adding role. You’ll still leverage your strong technical grounding, attention to detail, and reconciliation skills, while building relationships with senior stakeholders and developing broader commercial awareness.

The Role

• Managing and reconciling monthly payroll processes, including journals and reporting
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations across a range of partner-related accounts
• Supporting audit cycles, including liaising with auditors and preparing schedules
• Assisting with budgeting and cash flow forecasting
• Work with senior stakeholders on ad-hoc global projects
• Contributing to process improvements and systems development
• Supporting year-end reporting, disclosures, and financial statements

About You

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Background in audit or strong financial accounting experience
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• Confident working with large data sets (Excel skills essential)
• High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
• Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines
