Part-Time Accounts Assistant

We are partnering with a well-established and growing construction services company specialising in scaffolding solutions across Northern Ireland and beyond. Known for their reliability, safety standards, and strong client relationships, this is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and hands-on team within a stable and expanding business.

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join the finance function. This role will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate processing, strong financial controls, and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the accounts payable function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time
  • Maintaining and updating financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Performing regular bank and account reconciliations
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
  • Preparing documentation and supporting external audits
  • Monitoring cash flow and assisting with budgeting activities

Who we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable and general ledger processes
  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and compliance requirements
