Commercial Financial Controller
Artemis Human Capital are working exclusively on behalf of a high-growth, private equity-backed business to appoint a Commercial Financial Controller.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and scaling organisation in a pivotal finance leadership role. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while providing commercially focused insight to support strategic decision-making and continued business growth.
This role will suit a hands-on and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys operating close to the business, partnering with senior leadership, and contributing to both operational and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of monthly management accounts including variance analysis and insightful commentary on business performance
- Provide financial modelling, pricing analysis and commercial insight to support strategic initiatives and business growth
- Manage cashflow forecasting, working capital and overall financial planning
- Maintain robust financial controls, reporting processes and year-end audit coordination
- Partner with senior leadership and operational teams to drive profitability and informed decision-making
The Person
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong post-qualified experience
- Proven background in management accounting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Commercially minded with the ability to translate financial data into clear business insight
- Hands-on, proactive and comfortable operating in a broad, stand-alone or growing finance role
- Strong communicator who can build effective relationships across leadership and operational teams
