Bookkeeper

We are working with a well-established and reputable business based in Lisburn who are seeking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a varied and hands-on role within a busy office environment, supporting the day-to-day finance function as well as assisting with general office administration. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records are maintained across multiple areas of the business.

This opportunity would suit someone organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a broad workload across transactional finance, reporting, and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing sales and purchase invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements and preparing payment runs
  • Sterling and euro bank reconciliations
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Preparing and reconciling VAT returns
  • Preparing sub-contractor CIS and RCT returns
  • Reconciling property rental income and property-related expenses
  • Supporting general office administration, including reception cover when required

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 accounts (essential)
  • Experience preparing VAT, CIS, and RCT returns would be desirable
  • Experience managing customs declarations on TSS would be advantageous but not essential
