A leading commercial law firm in Belfast is seeking to appoint a Healthcare Solicitor (3-5 years’ PQE) to join its well-established and highly regarded healthcare team.

The Role
The successful candidate will join a specialist healthcare practice advising healthcare professionals, insurers and organisations on a broad range of contentious matters. The role will involve:

Managing a caseload of clinical negligence and professional indemnity claims

Advising on regulatory and disciplinary proceedings, including fitness-to-practise matters

Representing healthcare professionals in investigations and hearings
-
Drafting pleadings, correspondence and detailed legal submissions

Liaising with clients, counsel, medical experts and other stakeholders
-
Providing commercially focused, strategic advice in complex and sensitive matters
The team handles high-quality, often high-value work and offers genuine responsibility from the outset.
The Candidate
Applications are invited from solicitors who meet the following criteria:

3-5 years’ PQE (qualified in Northern Ireland or another UK/Ireland jurisdiction)

Strong experience in healthcare law, clinical negligence, defence litigation or regulatory matters

Excellent technical ability and drafting skills

Confident communicator with strong client management skills

Ability to manage files independently while contributing positively within a team

Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
