Financial Controller (exclusive)
Artemis Human Capital has partnered exclusively with a growing and well-established business in the Newry area. As a result of on-going success and a number of key projects, they are eager to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to join the finance team. This is a key leadership role working closely with the Finance Director and overseeing a team of seven. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and the ability to support a fast-paced business with clients across the island of Ireland.
The Role
- Preparing financial reports, management accounts, and analysis
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- Managing cost control, margins, and profitability
- Ensuring compliance, internal controls and robust financial processes
- Business partnering with operational teams and senior management
- Driving systems and process improvements
- Advanced Excel reporting and analysis
- Data processing using Sage and internal software tools
- Liaising with clients and suppliers where required
- Using Sage Line 50 for accounts preparation
- Supporting additional ad hoc projects and duties
About You
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- 5+ years’ PQE in a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of Sage Accounts
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- A flexible, reliable and proactive approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to take on new skills and support continuous improvement
