Financial Controller

Artemis are working with a fast-growing and ambitious organisation in the services sector to recruit a Financial Controller who can take ownership of financial operations and play a pivotal role in shaping future growth. This is a brand new position for the company and will be tasked with bringing finance in-house.

This is a hands-on role where you will oversee day-to-day finance, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and act as a trusted advisor to senior management. You’ll also drive efficiencies, identify opportunities for cost savings, and support the company’s long-term strategic plans.

This is a permanent opportunity in a very accessible location close to Antrim.

What’s on offer:

• £55k – £65k base salary

• Hybrid working model (3 days in the office, Antrim-based)

The role will involve:

• Oversee financial operations including accounting, payroll, and cashflow
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
• Produce reports and provide insights for business decisions
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Maintain financial controls, KPIs, and cost management
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and advisors
• Support contract pricing, negotiations, and statutory reporting
• Advise leadership with financial insights to drive growth

What we’re looking for:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

• 5+ years in a senior finance role

• Commercial experience to contribute to strategy

• Excellent communication skills, and ability to translate financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders

• Experience in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and advanced Excel skills
