Financial Controller
Artemis Human Capital is working in partnership with a rapidly expanding and innovative technology business to appoint an experienced Financial Controller. This is a key leadership role within the finance function, offering the opportunity to make a real impact during an exciting phase of growth.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Controller will be responsible for leading and developing a small finance team, while supporting wider strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and motivating a small, high-performing finance team
- Supporting the CFO across all M&A activity, including financial analysis, modelling, and integration
- Overseeing financial operations, reporting, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Partnering with senior leadership to deliver insight that drives commercial decision-making
- Enhancing systems, processes, and controls to support growth
The Person
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a proven track record in either a high-growth or technology-led environment. They will bring both strong technical expertise and commercial acumen, with the ability to balance detail with strategic perspective.
Key requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Background in technology or high-growth businesses
- Experience of leading and developing a team
- Experience supporting M&A processes, including fundraising and due diligence is desirable
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
