Financial Controller – Exclusive

An established and forward-thinking manufacturing business in the Mid-Antrim region is seeking a Financial Controller to take ownership of its finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to step into a hands-on leadership role within a company that is investing in its people, systems, and future growth.

As Financial Controller, you will manage the day-to-day financial operations, lead a small finance team, and play a key role in strategic planning and commercial support. You’ll be responsible for accurate reporting, cash flow management, and the development of robust financial processes.

What’s on Offer

• Salary in the range of £45,000 – £55,000

Key Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts with detailed commentary

• Deliver financial and operational reports using Excel

• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis

• Oversee cash flow, working capital, and debtor management

• Manage costing, inventory valuation, and margin tracking

• Support cross-functional teams with financial insight and analysis

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team

• Ensure compliance and statutory reporting, working with external accountants

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior finance role (manufacturing preferred)

• Strong Excel and data analysis skills

• Proven ability to lead teams and influence decision-making

• Commercially aware, hands-on, and detail-focused

• Strong interpersonal skills and confident communicator
