Group Accountant

Our client is a long-established and highly successful Northern Ireland-based group with a diverse portfolio of international businesses. With a proud heritage and a strong track record of growth and innovation, the business is seeking to appoint a new Group Accountant to join its growing group finance function.

You will report to the Financial Controller and contribute to the delivery of timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting across a complex, multi-entity group structure. The role will support key financial processes, provide analysis, and ensure financial control is maintained across all group operations.

• £48k – £52k base salary

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts and annual statutory financial statements

• Management of intercompany reconciliations across group entities

• Involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal financial policies

• Collaborate with business unit finance teams to review performance and support improvements

• Coordinate with external auditors during the year-end audit

• Drive improvements in reporting, controls, and financial systems

• Support various ad hoc projects including acquisitions and systems enhancements

Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience, ideally within a group or multi-entity environment

• Excellent financial analysis and Excel skills

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines

• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
