Company Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Company Accountant to join an established finance team based in Derry. This is an office-based position that offers the chance to be embedded in the day-to-day operations of a dynamic, growing group.

You will play a central role in shaping the finance function, working closely with senior leadership and contributing to decision-making and operational improvements. Expect real variety — from statutory reporting and cashflow forecasting to systems development and business partnering.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prepare accounts, reports, schedules, and financial analysis.

• Manage VAT, PAYE, submissions, and compliance processes.

• Lead cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.

• Reconcile balance sheets and maintain accurate ledgers.

• Strengthen financial controls and improve internal systems.

• Mentor junior team, oversee statutory return submissions.

• Liaise with stakeholders and handle ad hoc tasks.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified or part-qualified accountant
• Experience preparing statutory accounts for multiple entities.
• A solid understanding of both UK and ROI VAT regimes.
• A track record of implementing or improving financial processes and controls.
