HR Officer – Ballymena Area

Salary: £30,000 – £37,000 (DOE) + Monthly Bonus
Hours: Flexible start/finish and 4-day week considered.
Team: Join a close-knit HR team of 3 , reporting to the HR Manager, within a workforce of 190

Artemis Human Capital is currently recruiting for an HR Officer role on behalf of a long-established, successful manufacturing company based near Ballymena. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is either:

• Already working in an HR Officer role, or
• A capable HR Administrator ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
• Provide advice and support on employee relations issues (e.g., disciplinary, grievance, absence)
• Assist with payroll data collection and liaise with finance
• Maintain and update employee records and contracts using HR software
• Support with H&S coordination and wellbeing initiatives
• Contribute to annual reporting (e.g. Equality Commission / Article 55 reports)
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and legally compliant
• Deliver general HR admin support and contribute to broader team projects

About You:

• 2–3 years’ HR generalist experience (ideally within manufacturing or construction)
• HR-related degree or equivalent
• Payroll admin experience
• Confident with NI employment law and best practice
• Proven recruitment and employee relations experience
• Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
• Strong communication skills and IT literate

Desirable (Not Essential):

• CIPD qualification (or working towards)
• Familiarity with PAMS or similar HR software
• Knowledge of H&S practices and shift-based operations
