Paralegal – Private Client/Conveyancing

The Role: As a Paralegal in the private client team you will be an essential part of the team, working closely with experienced solicitors to support the delivery of high-quality legal services. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in conveyancing, wills, probate and admin of estates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and reviewing documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and other conveyancing forms.
  • Assisting with the completion of property transactions, including liaising with clients, estate agents, and solicitors.
  • Conducting searches and reviewing reports, including Land Registry and local authority searches.
  • Managing post-completion formalities, such as registering transactions with HM Land Registry and handling stamp duty submissions.
  • Maintaining and organising client files, correspondence, and key documentation throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Keeping updated on changes to property law and conveyancing procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Law degree (LL.B or J.D.) or paralegal certification.
  • Strong academic record and a keen interest in private client law.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow within the legal profession.
