Audit Semi Senior
Artemis Human Capital are delighted to be partnering with an excellent local practice who are seeking a motivated Audit Semi-Senior to join their growing team. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in audit and assurance services, looking to further their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Requirements:
- Part-qualified ACCA/ACA (or equivalent) with at least 1 year of experience in audit within a practice environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of audit principles and accounting standards.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in accounting and audit software packages, with strong IT skills (Excel, Word).
- Experience in preparing audit files, conducting fieldwork, and completing statutory audits for small and medium-sized enterprises.
- Strong communication skills for effective client engagement.
- A full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing statutory audits from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Assisting in the preparation of audit documentation and reports.
- Identifying and addressing audit risks and issues.
- Preparing financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and FRS 102.
- Supporting the preparation and reconciliation of PAYE, VAT, and corporation tax returns where necessary.
- Building and maintaining client relationships.
- Assisting in the supervision and development of junior team members.
