Senior FP&A Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management reports, offering insights, analysis, and commentary on financial performance and trends, and suggesting necessary actions.
  • Develop annual and semi-annual plans and forecasts, challenging financial growth targets and testing planning assumptions from both optimistic and pessimistic perspectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the impact and understanding of operational reporting in relation to financial performance.
  • Present relevant financial information at monthly departmental and practice group leader meetings to build understanding of the business environment and highlight key financial priorities.
  • Prepare weekly operational reports (utilisation, billings, collections, WIP, AR) and highlight any required actions.
  • Monitor WIP and debtor lock-up levels, working with partners to understand and address any sub-optimal performance or adverse trends.
  • Introduce and enhance commercial procedures to maintain and improve financial performance.
  • Build strong partnerships within the business and practice groups, providing proactive support for financial management and commercial decision-making.
  • Provide periodic financial skills training to business and practice groups, emphasizing project/matter economics and financial hygiene.
  • Support the month-end billing process by coaching and troubleshooting arising issues.
  • Address operational issues, challenging current practices to achieve efficiencies, revenue enhancement, and cost savings.
  • Prepare annual business cases for practice group promotions.
  • Handle other ad-hoc activities as needed based on business requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; ACA/ACCA qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the finance function of a professional services firm; experience with 3E Elite and Iridium BI software solutions is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and accounting skills.
