Financial Controller

They are now seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Controller to join a dynamic team. This critical role requires someone with a strong background in manufacturing and standard costings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent business partnering skills and demonstrate effective team management abilities. You will be providing essential support to the General Manager and reporting directly to the Head of Finance for the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all financial operations within the manufacturing division.
- Implement and maintain standard costing systems to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation.
- Act as a key business partner, providing financial insights and strategic recommendations to support business decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Support the General Manager with financial planning, analysis, and operational strategies.
Experience
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a manufacturing environment
- Strong expertise in standard costings and inventory management
- Excellent business partnering skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders
- Demonstrated team management and leadership capabilities
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
