General / Operations Manager – Growing Food Manufacturer
Artemis Human Capital are working exclusively with a rapidly expanding food manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality products that meet the highest standards of safety and excellence. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join their team and drive operational efficiency across all departments. This would be an excellent opportunity for someone coming from a Production Manager looking to take a step up.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of all departments, including Office, Kitchen, Warehouse, High Care, and Technical.
- Ensure seamless coordination and communication between departments.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Continuously evaluate operations to identify areas for enhancement.
Efficiency Management:
- Create and maintain efficiency in all aspects of operations to ensure maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor department managers and supervisors to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Promote professional development and training opportunities for team members.
Quality Control:
- Ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory control and supply chain management to ensure timely procurement and distribution of materials.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance cost and availability.
Financial Oversight:
- Assist in budget preparation and financial reporting, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the Director on strategic initiatives to drive growth and expand market presence.
- Develop and implement long-term operational strategies.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, with a strong emphasis on food safety standards and practices.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and implement necessary changes.
Customer Focus:
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, addressing any operational issues that may arise.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through efficient and reliable operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an operations management role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
