Contract & Commercial Manager – SAAS business

Artemis Human Capital are delighted to be exclusively working with an award winning, Private Equity backed workforce and field service management Saas business. You will be joining a well-known brand as they look to hire a Contract & Commercial Manager.

You will be in working in a fast-paced dynamic organization with the ability to think on your feet.  As the Contract and Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for effectively managing from “cradle to grave” a number of SaaS private and public sector contracts. Your role will involve overseeing all aspects of contract management, including commercial compliance, contract drafting, commercial negotiation, stakeholder management working in close collaboration with the Sales Team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong contract management background, exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills, and the proven ability to drive successful outcomes in a complex contractual environment. Experience in the SaaS and related Software sectors would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and contract terms.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contract agreements, including terms and conditions, statements of work, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the contract duration.
  • Work closely with the Sale Team to understand their requirements, address any contract-related issues, ensure commercial/contractual governance.
  • Conduct regular reviews to monitor contract compliance, identify areas for improvement, and propose corrective actions as necessary.
  • Mitigate risks and resolve disputes or conflicts that may arise during the contract implementation, utilising your strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Stay up to date with legal and regulatory changes that may impact the contract, ensuring necessary adjustments are made to maintain compliance.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance contract performance, streamline processes, and drive cost savings.

 

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field
  • Proven experience in contract management, preferably in a corporate or legal setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of contract law, commercial terms and legal implications.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate complex
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with contract management software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
