Purchase Ledger / AP Specialist

Reporting to the Finance Manager & Financial Controller, the successful candidate will form part of an experienced & dynamic finance function.

You will be responsible for managing the end to end purchase ledger cycle and will be a confident AP professional, capable of managing a busy and complex ledger independently.

Typical duties will include:

  • Operating within P2P environment maintaining effective 3 way matching
  • Personally resolving any queries quickly & efficiently
  • Nominal coding
  • Passing invoices for payment
  • Managing supplier payment run weekly
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Setting up new suppliers
  • Staff expense processing
  • Business credit card processing
  • Maintaining Purchase day book
  • Managing the finance email inbox

This role has been created due to a combination of rapid business growth and internal promotion, making it an exceptional opportunity for a suitably experienced professional to join an experienced team during a time of exciting growth.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • An accomplished AP professional with a minimum of 2 years current AP experience in a fast-paced commercial setting
  • Knowledgeable in a Procure to Pay / PO based AP environment
  • Experienced in processing employee expenses
  • Experienced in processing business credit cards
  • Experienced in the use of Accounting software / systems
  • A confident communicator, capable of building great relationships with both colleagues and suppliers
  • Confident using excel to intermediate level
  • Capable of working independently, in a hybrid working model
  • Attention to detail – VERY important
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
  • Able to work accurately and meet deadlines
  • Keen to work within in a team with a continuous improvement mindset
