Commercial Manager

Artemis Executive is delighted to be exclusively retained once again by award winning, Construction & Civil Engineering contractor Geda as they add to their senior management team with a Commercial Manager (Civils).

The Commercial Manager will play a pivotal role in the further growth and success of the Civil Engineering department across Ireland and the UK, managing the Civil Engineering projects on the company’s long-term frameworks and ensuring their successful delivery.

Managing a team of Quantity Surveyors, you will build and maintain positive relationships with clients addressing concerns and ensuring client satisfaction. Proficient in reporting and analysing commercial data at a tier one standard you will review project specifications, estimating costs, and develop competitive bids to secure new contracts. Negotiating contracts with clients, subcontractors and suppliers, you’ll define the terms and conditions, payment schedules and necessary legal agreements. You will also be responsible for identifying and assessing any potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate against them as well as ensuring project compliance meets both client and industry standards. Developing and maintaining project budgets and ensuring projects stay within budgetary constraints, you will handle variations, evaluating the financial impact of these and negotiate adjustments.

You have 10 years + demonstrable track record within Construction/Civils – preferably the water industry as well as a Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering degree and background. With excellent management and leadership capabilities and experience you are commercially astute and have strong negotiation skills at a senior level.
