Artemis Human Capital is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading, global law firm dedicated to providing excellent legal expertise to its clients. As part of ongoing growth, our client is seeking a skilled and experienced solicitor to join its legal team as an in-house specialist in data protection, GDPR, risk, and compliance.
As an In-House Solicitor specialising in Data Protection, GDPR, Risk, and Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in advising and ensuring compliance with all legal matters related to data protection, privacy, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year -post-qualification experience (PQE) and a strong background in these key areas of law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on data protection, GDPR, risk, and compliance matters.
- Develop, implement, and maintain company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and recommend proactive measures to mitigate legal risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data protection and privacy considerations are embedded into business processes and projects.
- Stay updated with changes in data protection laws and regulations and implement necessary changes within the organisation.
- Handle legal documentation, contracts, and agreements related to data protection and compliance matters.
Requirements:
- A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 1+ years PQE specializing in data protection, GDPR, risk, and compliance.
- Strong understanding and practical application of data protection laws, GDPR, and related regulations.
- Proven track record in providing sound legal advice and solutions within a corporate or legal environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
