Payroll Coordinator

Artemis are working closely with this leading Northern Irish PE backed business to hire a talented Payroll professional to join their Payroll team.

Reporting to the Head of payroll and working as part of a small, dynamic payroll function, you will have the opportunity to work end to end payroll as well as supporting month end presses within the finance team.

Typical duties & responsibilities:

  • Working as part of an exciting and dynamic payroll team in processing all relevant information both statutory and contractual for the weekly, bi-weekly, four weekly and monthly NI and ROI payrolls.
  • Ensuring the correct PAYE, PRSI, National Insurance, Pension, Student Loans, Attachment of Earnings etc. are processed, so the appropriate authorities are paid within the correct timescales.
  • Checking and verifying inputted data and making all relevant corrections before the final payment run.
  • Consulting with Staff, Management and the Senior Leadership Team on payroll related queries.
  • Issuing payslips, P45’s, P60’s and required information to employees.
  • Ensuring that the staff emails are monitored and responded to in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Support all audits relating to payroll.
  • Generating payroll reports as required by HR, Finance and Senior Management
  • Efficient in planning and undertaking payroll tasks with minimal supervision to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Requirements for success:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years current previous experience of processing end to end payroll.
  • CIPP Qualification – Desired but not essential
  • Good knowledge of PAYE, NIC and Government returns
  • Excellent IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office with emphasis on Excel
  • Experienced in processing SSP, SMP, Annual Leave and gross to net manual calculations.
