Commercial Financial Controller (exclusive)
Artemis Human Capital is delighted to be working exclusively with a purpose first scaling SME. As the business embarks on a new and exciting period of growth, they are eager to appoint a Commercial Financial Controller to join their Senior Management Team and have an influential and valued voice in the business.
Reporting directly to the MD and working collaboratively with the CEO and other key stakeholders in the company, the successful candidate will take full ownership of the finance function as well as support the commercial and operational business requirements on a day-to-day basis.
The Role:
You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance operations for a growing business to include:
- Working closely with each department to drive financial efficiencies and knowledge
- Providing sound strategic and financial guidance in order for the business to achieve growth plans
- Preparing and delivering monthly accounts and detailed reports
- Delivering annual budget and financial modelling, including measuring and driving profitability
- Managing all financial ledgers and accounts
- Managing working capital, cash flow forecasting, financial analyses and budget preparation
- Managing the payroll function
- Managing and submitting statutory returns
- Leading on ad hoc funding and growth-focused projects
The Person:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- A proven ability to manage high volumes of work in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment
- Experience of managing and communicating effectively and efficiently with all levels across a business
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
- Strong IT skills
- Commercially minded
- Ability to work within a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment
