Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations, gaining exposure to various areas including but not limited to:
- Management of Accounts Payable (AP): Ensuring timely processing and accurate payment of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and resolving any payment discrepancies.
- Management of Accounts Receivable (AR): Overseeing collections, reconciling accounts, and handling customer inquiries professionally.
- Stock Management: Assisting in stock valuation, conducting periodic stock counts, and collaborating with other teams to optimise processes.
- Supporting Month-End Processes: Assisting with month-end closing procedures, reconciliations, and accruals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Requirements:
To thrive in this role, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of current hands-on experience as an Accounts Assistant, demonstrating proficiency in a fast paced commercial setting
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, coupled with the ability to apply them effectively in daily tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous when handling financial data, with a keen eye for accuracy and a track record of delivering high-quality work.
- Analytical Skills: Capable of interpreting financial information, identifying trends, and generating meaningful insights to support business decisions.
- Organisational & Time Management Skills: Efficiently managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software and MS Excel.
