Purchase Ledger / AP Specialist
Reporting to the Finance Manager & Financial Controller, the successful candidate will form part of an experienced & dynamic finance function.
You will be responsible for managing the end to end purchase ledger cycle and will be a confident AP professional, capable of managing a busy and complex ledger independently.
Typical duties will include:
- Operating within P2P environment maintaining effective 3 way matching
- Personally resolving any queries quickly & efficiently
- Nominal coding
- Passing invoices for payment
- Managing supplier payment run weekly
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Setting up new suppliers
- Staff expense processing
- Business credit card processing
- Maintaining Purchase day book
- Managing the finance email inbox

The ideal candidate will be:
- An accomplished AP professional with a minimum of 2 years current AP experience in a fast-paced commercial setting
- Knowledgeable in a Procure to Pay / PO based AP environment
- Experienced in processing employee expenses
- Experienced in processing business credit cards
- Experienced in the use of Accounting software / systems
- A confident communicator, capable of building great relationships with both colleagues and suppliers
- Confident using excel to intermediate level
- Capable of working independently, in a hybrid working model
- Attention to detail – VERY important
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- Able to work accurately and meet deadlines
- Keen to work within in a team with a continuous improvement mindset
