Financial Controller
Artemis Human Capital is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Financial Controller on behalf of a well-established, business based in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a growing SME and play a key role in shaping the financial performance and strategic direction of the business.
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Lead the finance function and manage a small team, ensuring effective delivery of all financial activities.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, board reporting, statutory accounts, and support the annual audit process.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support business growth.
- Partner with operational teams to improve profitability, cost control, and overall business performance.
- Oversee working capital management, including inventory, debtor, and creditor performance.
- Improve finance systems, reporting processes, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
The Person
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar senior finance role.
- Strong background within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or product-based environment.
- Commercially focused with experience in costing, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to work closely with senior leadership and influence business decisions.
- Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and process improvement initiatives (Sage 1000 and Power BI advantageous).
