An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function at a busy production facility. This role will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of plant operations while leading a multi-skilled maintenance team.
The Role
- Lead and manage the site maintenance and engineering function.
- Deliver maintenance objectives, KPIs, and operational targets.
- Oversee planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities.
- Manage maintenance budgets and control engineering costs.
- Provide leadership and technical support to the engineering team.
- Prioritise maintenance activities to minimise production downtime.
- Coordinate internal resources and external contractors as required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.
- Manage site utilities and ensure continuity of essential services.
- Support the development, training, and performance of the maintenance team.
The Candidate
- Trade-qualified in a mechanical or electrical discipline, or hold an engineering qualification, or possess equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum five years’ experience within engineering or maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience leading or supervising maintenance or engineering teams.
- Strong organisational, planning, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proven people management and team development experience.
- Experience within food or FMCG manufacturing environments is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel between sites as required.
