Senior Management Accountant

We are looking for an organised and proactive Senior Management Accountant to become part of a busy and growing finance team. This is a great opportunity to take on a varied role with real impact across the wider business.

This role sits within a long-established and growing Mid-Ulster firm.

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information and supporting business decision-making across departments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts, including analysis of financial performance
• Support the year-end process and liaise with external auditors
• Manage accruals, prepayments, and intercompany or internal recharges
• Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including capital expenditure tracking
• Oversee bank reconciliations and finance agreements such as hire purchase
• Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory returns, including VAT (UK and ROI) and other compliance reporting
• Contribute to financial reporting requirements (e.g. surveys, trade returns) and support ongoing improvements to finance systems and processes

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and financial systems
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Solid understanding of financial processes and controls
