Senior Trading Manager – Top 100 NI business

Artemis Human Capital are delighted to be assisting our client, a Top 100 NI business, as they look to recruit a Senior Trading Manager to help with their continued growth plans across the island of Ireland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FMCG candidate looking to take the next step in their career and provide Category leadership within the Commercial function of the business.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of Category Sales and Margin performance vs targets

• Effective budget performance monitoring

• Drive profitable category growth through cost of goods and sell price management.

• Manage and develop range to meet customer demand

• Implement a Wholesale and Retail promotional strategy to promote value and drive sales in the markets we operate.

• Manage price file accuracy

• Provide Category leadership working with our Supply Partners and all other stakeholders internal and external

• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and best practise in “ways of working”

• Liaising and presenting to colleagues in relation to commercial plans

• Support delivery and implementation of the annual business plan

Role Description & Person Specification

• Full ownership of the Category strategy and implementation of all Supplier negotiations, Joint Business Plans with our supply partners

• Maintain the day to day Commercial activities including providing detailed analysis statistics to ensure the Category is delivering it’s KPI’s on value, range, service with our supply partners.

• Providing leadership in managing all stocks with our Replenishment Team ensuring optimum service levels “best in trade” for our Retail Partners in all categories

• Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

• Ensure the organisation’s People & Culture policies and procedures are followed

Essential criteria

• 5yrs experience in the FMCG sector

• Proven record of driving commercial results

• Experience in large scale business

• Proven knowledge of the Symbol and Wholesale business

• Change management experience

• Skilled negotiator opposite key branded suppliers

• Category and range management
