HR Department Purpose:
The Human Resources department provides top-tier support and strategic guidance to the organisation. Operating at a business partner level, the HR team offers expert advice and services across various HR functions, including learning & development, resourcing, reward management, employee relations, payroll, systems, and administration.

Role Overview:
The HR team plays a pivotal role in shaping strategic discussions and initiatives within the organisation. This generalist role involves regular interaction with leadership teams, line managers, and staff at all levels. Activities include local delivery of key processes such as reward management, employee engagement, talent management, and resource planning, alongside addressing day-to-day HR needs like recruitment and employee relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, engaging in yearly planning alongside the Head of HR to execute HR strategy.
  • Contribute to strategic planning processes, facilitate talent discussions, and cultivate the organisation’s culture through HR initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the senior management team within the organisation, advising on HR issues related to recruitment, development, and retention.
  • Proactively identify and resolve employee relations issues, collaborate with the training and development team, and oversee the salary and bonus review process.
  • Provide data to the Finance team for budgeting and resource planning, manage career breaks and flexible working arrangements, and conduct exit interviews.

Key Requirements:

  • Possess a Graduate Qualification with CIPD or similar certification, demonstrating technical competence in employment law, compliance practices, and HR policies through extensive HR experience.
  • Exhibit strong organisational skills, enabling effective year-ahead planning and successful collaboration with senior management.
  • Demonstrate robust commercial acumen and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment, contributing to fast-paced, intellectually rigorous settings, and demonstrating flexibility, resilience, and sound judgment when addressing sensitive issues.
