Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in managing and improving the financial operations of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements and reports.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Perform variance analysis and provide detailed explanations for significant differences.
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all closing activities.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure company compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations.
- Streamline and automate financial processes to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
