Finance & Inventory Analyst
Artemis Human Capital is delighted to be partnering with our client, a leading NI based commercial business to help them hire for a newly created position. The Finance & Inventory Analyst will join an established and thriving Finance function and provide support across Finance and the wider business with a particular focus on financial reporting and inventory analysis.
Reporting to the financial accountant, the successful candidate will be required to provide detailed analysis of inventory levels, including highlighting low stock levels and slow moving stock. The candidate will also be responsibility for producing weekly and monthly financial analysis with a particular focus on turnover and margin reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing weekly financial reports, analysing turnover and margin
- Assisting in the month end financial process
- Weekly analysis of stock levels and circulating with appropriate business units
- Interacting with retail and wholesale business units to identify stock issues and flag these with the appropriate business unit
- Maintaining system information to ensure accurate reporting, including price changes, new product set-up, delisting products and promotional pricing
- Interacting with the procurement department to provide assistance around stock and purchasing analysis
- Other ad hoc duties as required
Requirements
- Proven current experience in a similar role, ideally within FMCG / Retail
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Experience with POS systems and System 21 would be beneficial
- Proficient at interpreting data to identify problems and recommend solutions
- Accounting technician or accounting qualifications would be beneficial
- Experience in stock control
- Highly organised individual with a strong attention to detail and analytical skills
