Audit Manager

We are delighted to be partnering with a top 10 accounting practice, situated in the heart of Dublin’s city centre. This is a great opportunity to join a well established Audit department where you will get exposure working with an array of clients across different industries.

The Role:

  • Lead the execution of a wide range of audit tasks spanning various sectors.
  • Ensure thorough planning of all audit tasks and provide advance briefings to staff regarding the specific risks involved.
  • Manage multiple audit tasks simultaneously, optimizing time and resource utilization efficiently.
  • Establish and nurture productive relationships with client personnel across all departments to facilitate and enhance the audit process.
  • Keep the Partner well-informed, highlighting significant issues pertaining to ongoing work and any concerns.
  • Create high-calibre financial statements and audit reports, including actionable recommendations to tackle identified risk factors and control deficiencies, supported by clear rationale.
  • Maintain high-quality delivery of audit tasks, adhering to FRS102 and Irish GAAP standards, effectively addressing critical risks, and meeting set timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of the role’s authority levels and those of relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist managers in daily supervision, on-the-job training, and mentoring of junior staff assigned to audit tasks, actively participating in Performance Management initiatives.
  • Possess over 3 years of practical experience in practice environments utilizing Irish GAAP and FRS102.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Accounting qualification (ACA,ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
  • Ideally at least 3 years of experience in practice.
  • AN understanding of risk, Irish GAAP and FRS102.
  • Solid grasp of audit strategy development and Terms of Engagement for individual assignments.
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse clientele across various sectors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management expertise, coupled with the capacity to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
